Talking turkey in August? Yes! We look forward to providing our traditional Holiday Food Baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas, serving 50 families for each holiday. Our goal is to provide each family with a holiday meal and a week’s worth of groceries, just as we have in past years.

How are we going to accomplish this? We need you! Please join us as we begin our Holiday Food Basket Drive. Food donations for both holidays will be collected at the same time and may be dropped off at the church office on weekdays from 9am – 3pm.

So what do we need?

Holiday Meats
We plan to provide a turkey, ham or two chickens. We have freezer space at the church that is looking forward to being filled!

Holiday Meal Fixin’s
To complete the holiday meal, we need instant mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, packets of gravy mix, cranberry sauce, canned corn or green beans, and canned fruit.

Other Nonperishables
For the following week’s food, we need canned meats, dried rice and beans, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, tomato products, canned prepared meals, canned beans, soups, breakfast cereal, pasta and pasta sauce, and canned vegetables and fruit.

Could you check expiration dates on your donations? We can’t distribute items that are past their “Use By” date. We are also unable to distribute glass items.

This year’s Food Basket plan does look a little different.
•Donations of holiday meats and other nonperishable foods will be accepted at the office. No sign-ups are necessary.
•In-person volunteers for sorting, packing or delivery will not be possible.
•Delivery of our Holiday Food Baskets will be handled by our ministry partners.
Please join us. We are grateful for every food donation received, and we ask God’s blessing for the families we will serve.
