Four members were newly elected to serve on the Congregation Council at the Annual Meeting in September. Annette Banchy, Marge Johnson, David Swanson, and Patrick Williams bring a wide range of service, experience, and talents to serving as congregational leaders.

Annette Banchy
Annette has been at TVLC for a total of about 20 years and joined in 2007. She has been a Lutheran her entire life.

Annette attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, and moved to Arizona after graduation. She is the Director of Quality and Risk Management for Radiology Limited.

Annette and her husband, John, have two children, Adison (13) and Parker (11).

Fun fact: Annette biked over 600 miles along the Mississippi River with a Lutheran youth group.

Marge Johnson
Marge has been a member of TVLC since 2007. Marge has previously served on the Congregation Council and on Call Committees. She participates in the Wednesday evening Bible Study.

Marge grew up in Cleveland, OH, and has also lived in New Jersey and Minnesota. She spent most of her career in business, but taught business and management courses at the Federal Prison in Tucson for 10 years. She retired last year.

Marge and Norton have been married for over 45 years.

Fun fact: Marge and Norton made an RV their home and hit the road for 2 years before finding Tucson making it their new home.

Dave Swanson
Dave is a lifelong Lutheran and has been a member of TVLC for a total of about 13 years. Dave serves as an Assisting Minister and Communion Assistant and sings with the Chancel Choir.

Dave grew up on a farm in central Illinois and lived and worked in Colorado before moving to Tucson. Dave served in the U.S. Navy and then worked 27 years in the Property Management field.

Dave and his wife, Judy, have three adult children and 7 grandchildren.

Fun fact: Dave’s and Judy’s daughter, Kimberlee, and her husband, Alex, and their three children are also members of TVLC.

Pat Williams
Pat joined TVLC more than 5 years ago. He serves as an usher and enjoys supporting various ministries.

Pat has lived in Ohio, Florida and California. He moved to Tucson 13 years ago. Past has been a Training Consultant for the past 26 years, teaching business and communication topics throughout the western United States. He also teaches Environmental Compliance topics for Conoco Phillips in California.

Fun fact: Pat enjoys cooking. Many years ago he managed a Ponderosa Steak House and held a personal record of cooking 360 steaks in one hour!
