The Desks for Kids ministry has now distributed over 94 free desks for kids!
This ministry responded to an emerging need for kids to have their own, dedicated learning spaces during the remote learning situation created by the pandemic.
The team was able to work throughout the summer due to your generosity in providing funding, materials, and labor. Our workers included wood cutters, assemblers, sanders, and painters.
Pastor Stephen reached out through the ministerial alliance and arranged for 10 TVLC desk kits to be assembled at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in northwest Tucson. This collaboration allows us to meet needs in other areas of our community.
The team anticipates less demand in the fall as in-person school resumes, but will continue in operation to meet community needs.
Thank you to the TVLC family and volunteers for your support and hard work in helping kids in our community.
