It’s December and signs of Christmas are appearing everywhere. But this is a Christmas season like no other, and many of us are looking for ways to avoid crowds and shop in safety. In that case, ELCA Good Gifts is a perfect option, and offers truly meaningful gifts that have the potential to change the world.

The 2020 ELCA Good Gifts catalog can be viewed online. Projects include purchasing farm animals, providing school supplies, supporting health care workers with PPE, feeding refugee families, vaccinating the vulnerable, and much, much more.

Each project in the catalog is supported through a churchwide ministry in at least one of 83 countries. And, each project originated from a conversation with partners in that country. These partners are the people and organizations who know their communities most intimately, and who are best able to identify the needs and priorities in their local areas as well as the solutions that will make the biggest impact.

Giving a Good Gift is simple. Browse the catalog and choose the gift(s) that mean the most to you, then order using one of three methods:

  • Online
  • By phone at 800-638-3522
  • By mail. Write a check payable to ELCA Good Gifts and send with an order form or memo to:
    Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
    P.O. Box 1809
    Merrifield, VA 22116-8009

If you order online and wish to make your gift in honor of a friend or relative, you may personalize a card announcing the gift and have it sent directly to that person, or you can choose to send the card to yourself and print it at home or email it.

Questions? Check the answers to FAQs under the “How it Works” menu on the website, call the ELCA at 800-638-3522, or email the ELCA at info@elca.org.

We know that God is calling us to make a difference, and ELCA Good Gifts offers us the opportunity to do just that. We can make a difference by providing critical support to ministries and programs that mean the most to you and to the people you love. Let’s change the world!
