TVLC is filled with remarkable people. Because of the number and size of our services, we often miss out on meeting someone or having the opportunity to get to know them. Today we’ll meet the Millage family. Melissa Millage and Jenna Perryman have three children, Owen (10), Milo (9), and Charlie (7), and a sweet old pup, Riley (10).

About you?
Melissa is from Iowa and Jenna is from Phoenix. Melissa graduated Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and moved to Tucson in 2001. Jenna graduated Northern Arizona University and moved to Tucson in 2004.

Melissa and Jenna met in 2008 at Jenna’s best friend’s wedding. Melissa was the photographer and Jenna was the unofficial wedding planner. They were wed in 2010.

Melissa has been home with the boys since Melissa and Jenna began their fostering journey in 2012. Melissa and Jenna rejoiced in the adoption of their boys in 2013 and 2014. Melissa previously worked as a Program Manager for the Udall Foundation. Jenna has worked as a System Engineer for Raytheon since 2004.

Hobbies?
The family likes to play board games, but really enjoys being outside including riding bikes and hiking.

Hidden talents?
Melissa confesses that she can make very realistic dolphin sounds and throw a football like an NFL quarterback. (She didn’t compare herself to an NFL quarterback, but you get the picture. Melissa has game.) Melissa is also an amazing writer and photographer. Jenna has the gift of being able to connect with almost anyone. Owen sings, but only if no one is around. Charlie can build Lego sets faster than anyone in the family. Milo remembers everyone he meets and has the gift of dance.

Favorite TVLC memory?
Melissa and Jenna recall lighting Advent candles as a family a couple of years ago. They appreciated the chance to participate in worship and be seen as a family.
