TVLC is filled with remarkable people. Because of the number and size of our services, we often miss out on meeting folks or having the opportunity to get to know them. Today we’ll meet the Lauber family.

About you?
Matt and Carmele Lauber have two children, Lily (9) and Evie (6).

The Laubers are all Tucson natives! Matt grew up on the northeast side of Tucson and attended Sabino High School. Carmele grew up on the northwest side and attended Amphi. Matt grew up in TVLC and Carmele attended a Methodist church.

Matt’s best friend and Carmele’s best friend introduced them to each other during their friends’ wedding planning and festivities. Three years later their best friends were in Matt’s and Carmele’s wedding on the beach in Carlsbad.

Matt has been with the Tucson Fire Department for 16 years. This year he started his “encore” career as a Home Inspector for residential resale. Carmele is now a full time Realtor and a part-time clinical instructor for Pima Medical Institute’s respiratory program. For the past 12 years, she worked as a bedside Respiratory Therapist at Banner – University Medical Center.

Carmele serves on the board for the TVLC Kindergarten and Preschool, which both Lily and Evie attended.

Lily (4th) and Evie (1st) attend Agua Caliente Elementary School. They were born while the Laubers lived in Vail, but when Evie was 2 they returned to the eastside. They enjoy their view of Thimble Peak in the Santa Catalina Mountains and being closer to family.

Hobbies?
Evie is an energetic artist and a rock star at puzzles and Legos. Lily loves to read, sing and do all things drama/theater. Both girls love learning piano and will be starting Jiu Jitsu this fall. The family loves to visit Mount Lemmon, the lake, and the beach together.

Pets?
The Lauber family is currently in the process of adding the right 4-legged member to their family.

Favorite TVLC memory?
At TVLC, they have greatly enjoyed watching their daughters and the children of other TVLC families present the Christmas programs. Lily is looking forward to taking her First Communion this year!
