By Vickie Denning, Communications Director

TVLC is filled with remarkable people. Because of the number and size of our services, we often miss out on meeting folks or having the opportunity to get to know them. Today we’ll meet Benjamin and Samantha Cline.

About you?
Ben and Samantha are true Tucson natives — born and raised in the Old Pueblo!

Ben and Samantha both attended and graduated Flowing Wells Junior High and Flowing Wells High School. Ben went to Northern Arizona University and majored in Music Education with an emphasis in choral conducting. Samantha majored in Elementary Education at the University of Arizona and moved to Valparaiso, Indiana to teach at Immanuel Lutheran School.

Fortunately, Ben and Samantha returned to Tucson and have been teaching here for 10 years. Ben teaches high school choir and theater technology at Sabino High School. Samantha teaches third grade at Douglas Elementary School in the Flowing Wells District.

Hobbies?
Ben loves to fish, sing, and play multiple instruments. Samantha loves to crochet.

Pets?
The Cline family has one dog. Samantha describes Ari as a big goofball!

Hidden talents?
Samantha and Ben claim their hidden talent is that they have no hidden talents!

Favorite TVLC memory?
Ben and Samantha greatly enjoy Christmas Eve services. They love the music and candlelight service.

What brought you to TVLC?
The Chancel Choir and its very talented director, Jen Wortman, brought the Cline family to the TVLC family.

Have you enjoyed getting to know the Clines a little bit better? Can we share your story? We’d love to hear from you! Contact VickieDenning@tvlc.org
