TVLC is filled with remarkable people. Because of the number and size of our services, we often miss out on meeting folks or having the opportunity to get to know them. Today we’ll meet the Barbara family.
About you?
Ashley and Sam Barbara (bar-Bear-uh) have two boys, Carter (3.5) and Sterling (4 months). Carter attends our TVLC Preschool.
Ashley is a Tucson native and proud second generation University of Arizona alumna! (Bear Down!) Ashley serves as the Development Director at Arizona’s Children’s Association, handling fundraising initiatives.
Sam moved here from Los Angeles with his family at a young age. Ashley says they consider him a Tucson native except for his love for the Lakers! Sam has been with FedEx for 12 years. He delivers in the 85749 area, so he may be delivering your next package!
Both Ashley and Sam grew up on the eastside and attended Sahuaro High School.
Ashley and Sam first met in college and then again later at a New Year’s Eve party. Their wedding was featured in the Tucson Bride and Groom Magazine!
Hobbies?
Ashley, Sam and the kids enjoy traveling. Their favorite trips include heading to the beach and Disneyland. If they aren’t on a trip, they are planning their next trip.
Pets?
The Barbara family have a beloved Golden Retriever named Lute. Yes, named after that Lute. Lute Olson.
Favorite TVLC memory?
The Barbaras started attending TVLC when Carter was one. They have enjoyed watching him grow from his nursery days to being a big kid who attends Sunday School. They are looking forward to Sterling’s baptism.
