Donna is the Interim Children’s Ministry Director. She and Mari work as a team.

Why work in a church?

Donna says she didn’t choose to work in the church; rather it chose her. Over 35 years ago, Donna began teaching preschool in a Christian program. She has been doing that in some way ever since and is grateful to work alongside God.

Typical day?

Donna spends most days working from home. She plans curriculum and programs and does prep work each week for Sunday School. Donna also recruits volunteers to support Sunday School, Milestone Ministries, Vacation Bible School, and the Christmas Pageant. An important part of her job is communicating with families. On Saturdays and Sundays, she sets up classrooms with needed supplies. Mari prepares packets, leaflets, oversees registration forms, and uses her eye for detail to make sure Sunday School and Vacation Bible School are organized and safe for the children.
