TVLC is filled with remarkable people. Because of the number and size of our services, we often miss out on meeting folks or having the opportunity to get to know them. Today we’ll meet Brian and Nancy Lauber.

About you?
Brian is a native of Arizona and Nancy is “almost a native” of Arizona!

Brian and Nancy have been members of TVLC since 1986. They have two sons that were raised at TVLC in Sunday School, Youth Groups, and Confirmation classes. They are thankful that their sons and families live 3 minutes away from them. Nancy and Brian love being grandparents and seeing their granddaughters change and grow.

Brian retired from Arizona State Forestry and continues to be very involved in wildland firefighting, teaching and bringing up the new generation of firefighters and first responders. He currently teaches for FEMA and various Emergency Management Agencies across the nation.

Nancy retired from TUSD. She taught 2nd grade and Kindergarten. Nancy loves being a grandma and always is available to babysit when needed. She loves reading, being outside in the sunshine, and going to lunch with friends.

Brian and Nancy coordinated putting up Christmas lights for the TVLC parking lot for many years. They are involved the Food Ministry. Nancy taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation classes and served on the TVLC Preschool Board.

Hobbies?
Brian and Nancy enjoy traveling and are ready to do more when the pandemic ends. They enjoy having their family over to swim, play and just spend time together. Mountains and beaches are some of their favorite places.

Favorite TVLC memories?
Their favorite memories of TVLC are of seeing their boys grow up in church, making lifelong friends and now being a part of TVLC with their families.

Have you enjoyed getting to know Brian and Nancy a little bit better? Can I share your story? I’d love to hear from you! Contact VickieDenning@tvlc.org
