Serving God. Following Jesus. Stewarding our planet and connecting people. Our Creation Care team did it again! They welcomed the TVLC family and community to a shredding and electronics recycling event. And, they partnered with the Food Ministry to collect food for those in our community who are food insecure.

Welcome! If you could see under the mask, we know Jim had a “welcome” smile, so we added the sign to reflect it!

Jim was one of 16 volunteers who provided over 80 hours of their time to host the event.

About 1,000 cans of food were donated to fill our Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets and stock our pantry for ongoing community needs. The food ministry team, including Susan, Janet, and Jane, gratefully received them.

One large truck was filled with electronic equipment to be recycled and kept out of our landfills.

Traffic control, please! 219 cars drove through the event and Dina helped direct them.

44 large bins of paper were collected and shredded.

But, wait, there’s more! Dozens of printer cartridges were collected for recycling.

And, it was all made possible by 16 volunteers, including Phil and Gerry, who worked about 80 hours!

Thank you to all who participated and all who coordinated, supported, and served at the event!
