Talking turkeys, already? Yes! Our traditional Holiday Food Baskets will be going out for Thanksgiving and Christmas, thankfully serving 80 families for each holiday. Our traditional TVLC goal is to provide each family with a bountiful holiday meal, plus extra nonperishables and fresh groceries for their pantry. Please join us as we begin our Holiday Food Basket Drive!

Food donations for BOTH holidays will be collected at the same time. Our goal is to have all nonperishables and Thanksgiving meats by November 13 and any remaining Christmas meats by December 11.

Our Holiday Food Bags are filled with:

Nonperishables:
canned tuna and chicken
dried rice, beans, lentils
peanut butter & jelly
mac & cheese
canned tomato products
canned beans
soups
breakfast cereals
pasta and pasta sauce
canned vegetables and fruit
dry milk
canned prepared meals (chili, stew, Spaghettios, etc.)

Holiday Meal Fixin’s:
instant mashed potatoes
boxed stuffing mix
packets of gravy mix
cranberry sauce

Holiday Meats:
turkeys, hams, or chickens.

**Please: No past-dated items or glass containers. Thank you!

  • Food donations may be brought to the church during services or to the church office Monday-Thursday, 9a-3pm. Meats will be stored in our freezers.
  • At this time, volunteers for sorting and packing will continue to be limited to Food Ministry Team members.  If this policy changes, we will make an announcement.
  • Distribution of our Holiday Food Baskets to the families’ homes will continue to be handled by agency representatives and their offices.
