TVLC’s Easter Food Basket season is now underway! We are planning to serve 85 families this holiday with a bountiful Easter meal, extra groceries to put into their pantries, and caring prayers of support.
Food donations may be brought to the church during services or to the church office between 9am-3pm, Monday-Thursday. Please see the list of need items (below). Meats will be stored in our freezers.
We know how much you like to help with this ministry, but out of an abundance of caution we are still unable to utilize volunteers for sorting, packing, and making deliveries. Our ministry partners will be making the deliveries.
The Food Ministry team is grateful for each and every donation and prayer received. We ask for God’s blessings and peace for the families we serve.
Donation deadline – Sunday, April 10
Easter Food Baskets Delivery – Wednesday, April 13
Nonperishables
Canned meats, dried rice/beans/lentils, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, tomato products, canned beans and canned garbanzos, soups, dry and shelf-stable milk, hot and cold cereals, pasta and pasta sauce, canned vegetables, canned and instant potatoes, canned fruit, canned prepared meals (chili, stew, Spaghettios, etc.)
Please note that some of our refugee families are unable to eat pork or beef products, so meat-free soups/sauces/canned meals are also needed.
We cannot use expired items or glass containers. Thank you!
